We never sell your data

NBL does not sell, rent or share your personal information or your picks with sportsbooks, data brokers, or advertising networks. Ever.

1. What we collect

Account details: your email address, username and optional display name, avatar colour and bio.

Activity in the league: the picks you log, their results, your points, streaks, rank, badges, leagues and challenges.

Basic technical data: aggregate, privacy- friendly site analytics such as page views, referring site, country and device type. We do not use advertising trackers or cross-site profiling cookies.

We do not collect payment details, because nothing on NBL costs money.

2. What is public

NBL is a public league. Your username, record, win rate, points, rank, badges and graded picks appear on leaderboards, profile pages and shareable result cards. Your email address is never shown publicly.

Picks on games that have not finished may be hidden from others until they settle, so no one can copy your live positions.

3. How we use it

To run your account, grade your picks, calculate standings and rank, operate leagues and challenges, send service emails you have opted into (such as result digests and league notifications), prevent abuse, and understand overall site usage.

4. Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to operate NBL: our hosting and database provider, our email delivery provider, and public sports data feeds used for grading. They process data on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.

We may disclose information if required by law. If NBL is ever transferred to new operators, this policy travels with it.

5. Emails

We send account emails (sign-in links, password resets, email changes) and optional league emails such as daily digests and notifications. You can turn optional emails off in your profile settings.

6. Data retention and your choices

We keep your account data while your account is active. You can ask us to correct your details, export your picks, or delete your account and personal data at any time through the contact page. Deleting your account removes your profile and personal details; historical league standings may retain anonymised results.

7. Security

Accounts are protected by managed authentication with encrypted credentials, and database access is restricted by per-user rules. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

8. Children

NBL is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Changes and contact

We will update the date above when this policy changes. Questions? Reach us on the contact page. See also our Terms of Service.
